Project Details
Description
The project aims to promote active learning, learning to learn, and all-round development in young children through the innovation of “Questioning-Exploration-Experience” (QEE) learning sustained by a school network supporting school-based development. The framework of QEE learning has been developed in The Hong Kong Institute of Education HSBC Early Childhood Learning Centre since 2001. This project disseminates the framework of QEE learning to a number of local preschools and provides support to develop curriculum leadership and teacher capacity for curriculum development and implementation. The support system includes a cross-school network and school-based services. The network adopts the establishment of a 3-tier system involving 1 nexsus school, 6 partner schools and 10 seed schools. The school-based services include professional development seminars, on-site team building conferences, and web-site information exchange communications. The expected outcomes are enhancement of curriculum leadership and teacher capacity, learning effectiveness, the establishment of school network, website resources, curriculum guide, exemplary practices, and dissemination seminars.
