Description

The objectives of this study are (i) To examine the existing post-school placements and available opportunities for the new senior secondary education graduates with SEN; (ii) To identify the barriers encountered and problem solving strategies adopted by the graduates with SEN; (iii) To gather information about the existing guidance and support from schools and families for students with special education needs during their school-to-adulthood transition. (iv) To make recommendations for improvement with reference to the overseas practice of transition planning and support, so as to achieve equal opportunities in education and transition support for young people with disabilities who have completed the new senior secondary education in Hong Kong .
