PE Teachers Development Programme - Summer School for PE Teachers 2008

The Summer School for PE teacher 2008, featuring the theme "Nurturing Creativity and Critical Thinking" was initiated by the Education Bureau and organized by the Physical Education (PE) Division, Department of Creative Arts and Physical Eduaction, the Hong Kong Institute of Education. The project focused on developing the awareness of relevant and innovative practices in PE curriculum and pedagogy, in particular, how Creativity and Critical Thinking could be catered in PE in local schools. The project included: 1) a half day conference titled "Catering learners' diversity in PE"; 2) a full-day school based experience sharing seminar; and 3) 23 2-day and 4-day workshops focusing on further enhancing PE teachers' pedagogical competence in promoting a variety of PE content in schools.
