Description
The Summer School for PE Teacher 2011, featuring the theme "360° Promotion of Healthy Living among Students" was commissioned by the Education Bureau and organized by the Department of Health and Physical Education, the Hong Kong Institute of Education. The project focused on developing awareness of relevant and innovative practices in PE curriculum and pedagoggy, in particular, how the "360° Promotion of Healthy Living among Students" can be promoted through PE in local schools. The project included:1) a one day conference titled "360° Promotion of Healthy Living among Students" including keynote session, school-based experience sharing seminar and lesson analysis for promoting health and fitness. 2) 18 (2 day or 4 day) workshops focusing on further enhancing PE teacher's pedagogical competence in promoting a variety of PE content in schools.
