Description
The Summer School for PE teachers 2007, featuring the theme “Catering Learner Diversity in PE” was initiated by the Education Bureau and organized by the Physical Education (PE) Division, Department of Creative Arts and Physical Education, the Hong Kong Institute of Education. The project focused on developing the awareness of relevant and innovative practices in PE curriculum and pedagogy, in particular, how learner diversity could be catered in PE in local schools. The project included: 1) a half day conference titled “Catering learners’ diversity in PE”; 2) a full-day school based experience sharing seminar; and 3) 23 2-day and 4-day workshops focusing on further enhancing PE teachers’ pedagogical competence in promoting a variety of PE content in schools.
