This research aims to identify social-cognitive factors pertinent to fostering creativity among early adolescents in diverse cultural contexts. To this end, the role of school (e.g., teachers and peers) and home (e.g., parents and siblings) environments in the United States, Japan, and China will be examined. In addition, the contribution of differences in adolescents' academic routines, including the time they spend on schoolwork and learning strategies will be investigated.
