Project Details

Description

Adopting the “Learning by Doing Academy” (LBD) as the focal point of our study, this project will compare and contrast it will the conventional mode of teaching and learning General Studies at the Key Stage I level (P1-P3), as well as other approaches to innovation in the subject. Our objective is to inform and support teacher professional development in the subject community in the three levels of curriculum, pedagogies and assessment. We shall also explore the possibilities and effectiveness of LBD and other innovations in fostering value education and the inculcation of generic competencies among students. At the end we shall consolidate the insights of our research into exemplars and refinements of models of innovation in the subject and disseminate across the professional community.
