Description
1) To minimize the gap in the critical kindergarten-primary school transition period for learning to read in Chinese in the post-COIVD era, by developing the learning resources of a storybook reading programme;
2) The programme will consist of 20 original storybooks and their 40 digital lessons enhancing reading skills for lower primary school students in Year 1 & 2 (P1&P2), in particular, the underprivileged children;
3) To disseminate the storybooks and implement the programme by collaborating with six partner schools and their families with low Socioeconomic Status (SES) backgrounds and evaluate its effectiveness in Chinese reading development.
