Description

This GRF project aims to (1) identify Chinese learners’ difficulties in English word stress placement in perception and production, (2) develop training programs, (3) conduct a teaching experiment to evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs in facilitating learning of word stress, and (4) demonstrate the implications and applications of the training programs in pronunciation learning and teaching.
