Description

The notion of ‘flipped classroom’ has attracted much attention in recent years because it has the potential of substantially enhance teaching and learning. Flipping the classroom is regarded to have strong theoretical basis of the learning enhancement. It is, for example, mentioned to be in line with our modern understanding about how people learn and it is capable of incorporating new educational concepts such as personalized learning, peer learning, and learning through construction of knowledge with active engagement in learning activities, etc. The project provides the essential support to teachers at a number of universities in Hong Kong who would like to adopt the innovative teaching and learning approaches. Through the collective effort of the participating universities, experiences and expertise will be shared to provide effective support that should allow practitioners to overcome the many challenges mentioned above and harvest the best possible from this new pedagogy.
