The development of teacher leadership is crucial for quality teaching which in turn impacts on student learning outcomes. Studies show that principals have more or less influence on teacher instructional behaviours, However, the way principal-teacher interactions influence teacher leadership development is rarely studied. This project aims to examine the role of principals in developing teacher leadership in Hong Kong.
