In most hospitals in China, medical professionals are assessing children with speech-language disorders by using in-house tools, which often are mainly translations of English assessment tools. However, since Chinese is typologically different from English, these assessment tools are not sensitive to language-specific in Chinese and therefore affected their validity. Therefore, an assessment system that captures the linguistic features of Chinse will provide a better service.
