Description
The goal of this project is to contribute to education reform in the area of early childhood education by enhancing programme quality in preschools through curriculum-embedded child assessment, and enhance the professional development of kindergarten principals/ childcare supervisors and staff. The objectives of this project is to: 1) To construct an authentic and practical curriculum-based child assessment model that can be used in Hong Kong preschools to enhance the quality of their programme; 2) To support preschools to use performance indictors to assess child development and learning, construct action plans to improve programme quality; 3) To enhance the professional development of staff by building on their knowledge and skills of child assessment and integrating curriculum with assessment, and 4) To empower staff to enhance the quality of programmes in preschools and sustain change by working collaboratively in a reciprocal network.
