Project Details
Description
The current ethnographic study uses video-cued, multivocal elicitation and layered interpretation to investigate a growing international phenomenon – the education and care of infants and toddlers in group-based settings. Specifically, we examine how early childhood settings and teachers in 4 different countries (Hong Kong SAR China, England, the USA, New Zealand) provide education and care for infants and toddlers. Importantly, the cross-cultural comparative study will inform policy-makers and educators around the globe what constitutes the best pedagogy of care for this under-researched group of young children.
