The Young Scholar Award (YSA) is an innovative attempt launched in 1994 by the International Association of Chinese Linguistics (IACL) to promote, recognize, and encourage scholarship by young scholars. The
award has become a tradition of the IACL annual conference. IACL is a professional organization devoted to the promotion of scientific research into Chinese languages and their dialects and is well respected in the field of Chinese linguistics. Each year, the IACL’s Review Committee selects the best young scholar, aged 35 or below and whose current rank is below associate professor. Homepage of IACL: http://www.iacling.org/
