Dr. Zhan Ying is an Associate Professor at the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and assistant co-director of Academy for Educational Development and Innovation, the Education University of Hong Kong. She holds a PhD from the University of Hong Kong and specializes in feedback, formative assessment, and e-assessment, with a focus on higher education.
With over 20 years of experience at the tertiary level, Dr. Zhan has published more than 60 articles in top academic journals. She is an active researcher with a strong record of securing external research grants, including General Research Grant ( 3 as PI) and PICO-Funded Public Policy Research (1 as PI). Most recently, she was named among the World’s Top 2% Most-cited Scientists by Stanford University in 2025. Additionally, she has received multiple teaching awards and was honored with The President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Teaching for 2024/25 (Individual Award – General Faculty Member Category).
