Dr Lo Wai Yin is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Education Policy and Leadership of the Institute. She attained her master and doctorate degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr Lo published two books, including Intellectuals and the State in 1997 and Education for Development: A Case Study in Guizhou, China in 2009. Her research interests are wide-ranging which cover Education and Development, Knowledge transfer and transformation, Comparative Education, History of Hong Kong Education. Her recent work centers on educational development in regional area. Dr Lo just completed a project, an Exploratory Survey on Village Schools in Hong Kong, with the Hong Kong Museum of History in 2006-2008.
