Personal profile

Vivienne Leung joined the Institute in 1996. She has coordinated the program of Pre-service CE (ECE) and the B.Ed ECE (Hons) Part time programs for many years. Her research has been related to the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in learning and teaching, specifically in preschool settings. Additionally, she has researched the use of portfolio assessment for young children, teachers’ perception in using portfolios to promote learning, picturebook and young children, Early STEM/STEAM Education and Global Childhoods.

  • Member of the conference committee for the Seventh International OMEP conference held in Hong Kong in 2008 and is currently on the conference committee for the Seventeen International Conference on Learning to be held in Hong Kong in July of 2010.
  • Co-organizer of the Montessori Conference 2017.

Vivienne Leung' s teaching areas include 'Learning and Teaching in Early Childhood Education', 'Early Childhood Curriculum: Theory and Practice' and 'Information and Communication Technologies in Early Childhood Curriculum.
