Kevin completed his teacher training in Physical Education from Northcote
College of Education. He holds a BEd (Hon) degree from the University of
Liverpool and a MEd degree from the University of Hong Kong. He is also a
certified ACSM Health Fitness Specialist. He is currently undertaking his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Queensland which seeks to
explore the knowledge development of PE teachers in Hong Kong. Kevin joined
the Institute in 1998 and is currently a Senior Teaching Fellow in the
department. He previously held a post of Student Affairs Officer in the Student
Affairs Office and managed the sports facilities as well as coordinating sports
program in the Institute. Before joining the Institute, Kevin had taught Physical
Education and served as Chairman of PE subject panel in a secondary school.
He also served as Assistant Physical Education Officer in the City University of
Hong Kong. Kevin specializes in pedagogy and professional development
culture of PE teachers. He is teaching a wide variety of sports skills, like soccer,
golf, physical fitness. Other academic interests include outdoor experiential
learning, promoting wellness concept in the community and teaching soccer
and golf.
