Dr YIP Tak Ping, Terry is the Associate Director of the Xiqu and Intangible Cultural Heritage Centre (XICH) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). He also holds an appointment as Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader of Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Heritage Education and Arts Management (BAHEAM) and Master of Arts in Cultural Heritage Education and Management (MACHEM) in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Chinese Language and Literature from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and holds a PhD in Classical Chinese from the Beijing Normal University. Later, he earned his Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Professional and Vocational Education) from the Education University of Hong Kong. He is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) and a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP).
Before joining the Education University of Hong Kong, Dr Yip taught at the Chinese University of Hong Kong for 10 years. Besides teaching, he serves as a director of 4 charities in Hong Kong and writes for several newspapers. In 2026, Dr Yip was awarded the “Commendation Scheme by the Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government”. In recent years, he published more than 20 books, one of which received a Publication Award in Language Learning at the 2nd Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards. His publication covers the areas of Chinese literature, Chinese history, religious studies, intangible cultural heritage and museum studies. He has also successfully launched more than 10 research and development projects with external competitive research grants in the capacity of Principal Investigator.
葉德平博士是香港教育大學(EdUHK)戲曲與非物質文化遺產中心(XICH)副總監,同時擔任課程與教學學系的高級講師,以及「文化遺產教育與藝術管理課程榮譽文學士」(BAHEAM)和「文化遺產教育與管理文學碩士」(MACHEM)的課程主任。
他於香港中文大學獲得中文語言及文學學士及碩士學位,並於北京師範大學取得古典文學博士學位;其後在香港教育大學修讀教育學深造文憑(專業及職業教育)。葉博士亦是認可的全球職涯發展促進師(GCDF)及認可職涯服務提供者(CCSP)。
加入香港教育大學之前,葉博士於香港中文大學任教十年。除了教學工作外,他亦擔任香港四個慈善團體的理事,並於2026年獲得香港特區政府「民政及青年事務局局長嘉許計劃」表彰。葉博士正為多份報章撰寫專欄。近年來,他出版著作超過二十部,其中一部在第二屆香港出版雙年獎中獲得語文學習類出版獎。葉博士的出版範圍涵蓋中國文學、歷史、宗教研究、非物質文化遺產及博物館學等領域。他亦以首席研究員身份成功申請及主持超過十項具競爭性的外部研究及發展資助項目。
