Dr. FUNG Shu Fun, Associate Professor of the Department of Literature and Cultural Studies, joined the Institute in 1995. His research areas focus on the academic history of philosophy in Qin and Han dynasties, ancient Chinese humanities, and the development of oral education in Hong Kong. Dr. Fung has authored book chapters in the fields of ancient China and Chinese language education. He has been invited to provide consultancy services to primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong and advise on major debate competitions.

Classical Chinese Thought, Moral and Value in Chinese Language Teaching, Intellectual History of China, Teaching Thinking in Chinese Language, ICT in Chinese Language Teaching, Oral Teaching, Learning and Assessment in Chinese Language
External Appointments
Dr. FUNG Shu Fun has been the curriculum advisor in Chinese Language of Lingnan Secondary School and Buddhist Wing Yan Primary School since 2004. Dr. FUNG Shu Fun has been the advisor of the Hong Kong Teachers' Center & Information Technology Education Association since 1999.
