Dr Louisa Chung is currently the Assistant Professor of Department of Health and Physical Education at the Education University of Hong Kong. She is a Registered Nutritionist of Association for Nutrition (UK) with ten years’ experience in weight management and physical fitness projects. Her academic qualifications also extend to the area of information technology, business management, physical fitness, psychology and education. These areas of expertise enrich her research work innovative and applicable to impact the society in multiple aspects. She has around 45 publications in peer-review journals. Her research interest includes eating habits, diet modification, exergames for health, physical fitness and nutrition assessment. She is the first to develop and implement the concept of teledietetics in dietary self-monitoring. Her current Google Scholar h-index is 12 and there is 382 citations for her published work.
Dr. Chung received Knowledge Transfer Prize of Dean’s Research Fund 2018-19 with her Knowledge Transfer project “Behavioural feedback in nutrition education” and President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Administrative Services 2018/19 – Team Award.
Dr. Chung is also a specialist (nutrition and health sciences) at the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications. She is a member of Safe & Healthy School Advisory Committee of Kwai Tsing Safe Community and Healthy City Association and the Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Association of Organic Industry. She is currently a Hong Kong Examination Authority HKDSE Technology & Living” Subject Committee member (1 September 2018 to 31 August 2021) for reviewing examination papers and marking schemes for HKDSE.
