Dr Michelle Mei Seung Lam is Assistant Professor in the Department of Early Childhood Education at the EdUHK. She is Fellow of the Cambridge Overseas Society and Ordinary Fellow of the College of Preceptors. She received her PhD in Education from the University of Cambridge, UK. She had teaching and management experience in early childhood settings for nine years. Since joining the Institute in 1996, she has been teaching educational transition, working with families, children's welling and qualitative research in sub-degree, degree and postgraduate levels. Her research interests include transitions in early childhood, coping strategies and identity, sociocultural studies of learning, parental involvement, and research with children. She has been involved in a number of funded external and internal research projects and published book chapters and journal papers from the projects.
