Chinese Name : 周潞鷺

Dr. Egret, lulu ZHOU attained a B.A. in Chinese language and literature and an Education Diploma from the East China Normal University in 2007. After that, she got a Master’s degree in modern Chinese literature from the Beijing Normal University in 2010. As one of the first-batch awardees of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme, she came to Hong Kong in 2010 and received a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, with a thesis focusing on trans-border fan cultures of Hong Kong television stars in contemporary mainland China. After graduation in 2014, she had worked as a part-time lecturer in the Visual Culture Studies M.A. program at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In the end of 2014 she joined the EdUHK, working as a lecturer in department of literature and cultural studies; since 2015, she works at the Senior Tutor in the Grantham Student Hall, leading a tutor team to provide "Hall Life Education" for more than 500 student-residents from different programs. She believes in whole-person education and has been dedicating herself to practices of both curricular pedagogies and out-of-classroom informal learning to serve our students in the EdUHK.
