Dr Sammy Hui King-fai is currently Dean of Students and Principal Lecturer of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). Prior to this appointment, he was the Associate Vice President (Student Learning) of the University. Previously, Dr Hui was the Associate Head of the Department and Co-Director of the Centre for Small Class Teaching.

Since joining EdUHK in 2002, Dr Hui has been heavily involved in the University’s programme development and management. His major teaching areas are assessment and research methods. He received the President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Teaching in 2019-20, the Faculty of Education and Human Development’s Leaders of Learning Award in 2018-19, and the President’s Award of Outstanding Performance in Knowledge Transfer (Team Award) in 2016-17.

Dr Hui’s research areas cover outcomes of learning, educational assessment and evaluation, and teacher leadership.
