Personal profile

Miss Ng is a lecturer of the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts, the Education University of Hong Kong. She received her BA in Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, with the Cheung’s Fine Arts Award; and her MA in Fine Arts, with distinction from the Central Saint Martins College, London.


Ng has possessed a variety of professional experience in art, design, and education. Before joining the University, she had worked in design houses and galleries in Hong Kong and London. She had also taught courses in art, design and early childhood education in several tertiary institutions.


Ng specializes in drawing, painting, and mixed media, which focus on materials transformation and its projection of human inner spirit. Her research concerns aesthetic and cultural perceptions of the property of artwork, the evolvement of materials corporeality, and the artist’s role in the creation process.


Ng has been one of the Fotanian artists since 2006, and she has owned an art studio at the ADC Artspace of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council since 2016. Ng has maintained a close connection with the local art community. Her artworks have been exhibited in Hong Kong and London.
