Chinese name: 區嘉雯

Vonika Au received her BSc (Hons) (Major in Chemistry and Minor in Philosophy) in 2007 from The University of Hong Kong. She then obtained her PhD in 2012 from the same university. Her PhD work focused on the design and synthesis of luminescent transition metal complexes for supramolecular assemblies and functions. She has been a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemistry of The University of Hong Kong and a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology of The University of Tokyo. In 2018, she joined the Department of Science and Environmental Studies of The Education University of Hong Kong as Assistant Professor. Her research interests include the design and synthesis of functional materials, particularly porous materials, for energy and environment.
