Personal profile
As a trained science educator, Jinping is a strong advocate for student-centered learning and is deeply passionate about mentoring students to support their academic and professional development. Her research focuses on environmental health, particularly the critical roles of microbial communities, including biofilms, in influencing the environmental fate, bioavailability, and toxicity of contaminants. Dr. Cheng also works in ecology and conservation, with an emphasis on harmful biota and ecosystem monitoring. Her research addresses the impacts of anthropogenic stressors and climate change on habitat structure, community composition, and species interactions, with the overarching goal of safeguarding the environment and promoting public health.
For applicants interested in pursuing a PhD with her, you are welcome to send your CV for further discussions.
