Professor Daniel Chow is currently the Chair Professor of Health & Sports Science and the Associate Dean (Research & Postgraduate Studies) of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK).

He graduated with BSc and MPhil from The University of Hong Kong in 1985 and 1989, respectively. He obtained his PhD from the Bioengineering Unit, University of Strathclyde, UK, in 1992. He joined The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as Assistant Professor in 1994 and was promoted to Associate Professor and Professor in 1999 and 2005, respectively.

He has developed a specialization in the areas of human movement analysis, biomechanics and ergonomics. He established the Sports Bioengineering Unit for the Hong Kong Jockey Club Sports Medicine and Health Sciences Centre at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University prior to joining EdUHK in 2013. He was the Head of the Department of Health & Physical Education, EdUHK, from 2014 to 2017.
