Ewan Wright is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education and Human Development at the Education University of Hong Kong. He is Associate Head of Research in the Department of Education Policy and Leadership. He is also Associate Programme Leader of the Executive Master of Arts in International Educational Leadership and Change, following a period of over five years as Programme Leader. In addition, he is a Fellow at the Joseph Lau Luen Hung Charitable Trust Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change and the Centre for Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies. Ewan attained his PhD from the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong. His research primarily focuses on international education, international student mobility, cosmopolitanism, and social class. He has led research projects funded by the International Baccalaureate, Round Square, the Public Policy Research Funding Scheme of Hong Kong, and the University Grants Committee of Hong Kong. Currently, Ewan is leading a mixed-method project that explores Hong Kong as a destination for mobile doctoral students. The project aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the motivations behind students choosing Hong Kong for their PhD studies, their experiences during their doctoral journey, and their career trajectories and mobility post-graduation.
