Darren Bryant is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Education Policy and Leadership (EPL) at the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). He holds a concurrent position as Associate Director of the Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change (APCLC) and is Associate Editor of the International Journal of Educational Management (IJEM). For seven years, Darren served as Managing Editor for the Journal of Educational Administration (JEA) and for six year as Programme Leader of the Executive Master of Arts in International Educational Leadership and Change (IELC). He has contributed to the development of innovative teaching programes including the Master of Arts in Leading Innovative Learning Organizations (LILO), Bachelor of Science in Executive Management, and the minor in Teaching and Learning in International Schools. His research areas include leadership in international schools, middle leadership, leader development, and schools as organizations. Prior to joining EdUHK, he spent 12 years working in schools as a teacher, head of department, and curriculum coordinator.

Darren's research interests include educational reform, leadership preparation, middle leadership, policy enactment, and leadership in international schools.
