Chunxiao Zhang (Esther) is a post-doctoral fellow at The Education University of Hong Kong with a cross-disciplinary background in education, music/arts, and psychology. She previously held a postdoctoral position at the Faculty of Education, East China Normal University. Dr. Zhang earned her Doctor of Education degree from the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts at EdUHK, a Master of Music from the University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Education from East China Normal University. She also holds the Associate in Music, Australia (AMusA) diploma in piano performance. Her research centers on self-regulated learning, family involvement, scale adaptation, and creative learning in various educational settings. She is currently engaged in a financial education project funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. Dr. Zhang had served as the principal investigator of a China Postdoctoral Science Foundation project and as a team member on several collaborative projects. She currently serves as Assistant Editor of the ISME Routledge Book Series and as a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Music Education.
