HAN Chung Wai, Christina 韓重惠

Dr. Christina Han, senior lecturer in the Department of Early Childhood Education, joined the EdUHK in 1996. Dr. Han earned her PhD in the University of Western Sydney, Australia. Her M. Ed. degree was from the University of Hong Kong. Her major research projects are mainly related to principal leadership and management, information technologies in education, blended and STEAM learning, school improvement, managing changes and innovation. In addition, Dr. Han is a member of OCT (Ontario Certified Teacher, Canada), and a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in Ontario, Canada. Prior her work in EdUHK, she taught high school in Canada and primary school in Hong Kong. Dr. Han also worked as a principal in a kindergarten, and a part time lecturer in Baptist University and the University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Christina Han has good collaboration with IBM and provided teacher training and consultancy works for IBM KidSmart Early Learning Program in Hong Kong for more than six years. In addition, she was one of the key instructors for the EDB tenderred program of Principalship Course for Preschool Heads and Directors. Dr. Han has provided teacher training services to many schools and organizations, mainly in the areas of innovative use of infomation technologies, STEM learning, school team building, teacher leadership and school development, managing innovation and changes. Dr. Han served as a school manager in SALEM Immaneul Lutheran College and a curriculum advisor for various early childhood organizations.

In recent years, Dr. Han serves as a consultant for EVI Education software company and The Modern Education and Research Society. Dr. Han also collaborates with ACEI and Macau City University to provide some teacher training workshops.
