馮博士於1991年投身數學教師培訓事業,服務於前羅富國教育學院,其後合併為香港教育學院 (現香港教育大學)。1995年至2004年間,歷任香港數學教育學會副會長及會長。2001年取得香港大學哲學博士。2005年至2006年間,任《數學教育》編輯委員會主席。自2008午起,任Mathematics Teaching-Research Journal (MTRJ) on line 編輯委員會成員。
