Dr. Eric Cheng is a specialist in knowledge management and Lesson Study. He earned his Doctor of Education in Education Management from the University of Leicester. He is the author of five academic books:

Eric has been successful in launching 20 research and/or teaching development projects with external and competitive funds in the capacity of Principal Investigator (PI), including Research Grants Council funded project, University Grants Committee funded Communities of Practices project, Quality Education Fund projects and Standing Committee on Language Education and Research projects.
Research interests
His research focuses on exploring organizational factors and management strategies that enable school leaders and teachers to leverage pedagogical knowledge assets. Such leveraging aims at improving student learning and capitalizing on the knowledge assets as school intellectual capital for sustainable development. His publication covers the areas of knowledge management, school management, Lesson and Learning Study.

Eric actively serves the international academic community and the local school education community. He is an external examiner of The University of Technology Sydney, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Nottingham University, and the City University of Macau. He is serving as school manager of two local schools in Hong Kong.
Eric has contributed to regional and international research communities through serving as Journal editor, reviewer, and conference chair. He serves as an editor of the Education Reform Journal, an associate editor of the International Journal of Educational Administration and Policy Studies (IJEAPS), an editorial board member of The International Research in Education, The International Journal of Research and Review, and Education Reform Journal, and a reviewer of 35 international Journals.
