Dr. CHAN Chi-Keung is a Lecturer I of the Department of Science and Environmental Studies at the Education University of Hong Kong. He received his Doctor of Education, Master of Education (Curriculum & Instruction), Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Chemistry), and Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Since joining EdUHK in 2017, Dr. CHAN has committed himself as a teacher-educator. He has been actively involved in the Field Experience (FE) at the EdUHK. He is the FE Coordinator of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (FLASS), B.Ed. (SCI) programme and PGDE (Secondary) (Science) programme. He provides students with extensive teaching supervision towards professionalism. At the same time, he teaches several pedagogy courses in Chemistry, Citizenship and Social Development / Liberal Studies at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition, he is the course coordinator of the FE Foundation Course. His passion in teaching is recognised by his receipt of the FLASS Caring Teacher Award in 2021/22.
Dr. CHAN is a Registered Teacher with a recognised teacher training qualification. Before joining EdUHK, he taught CE, A-level, and DSE Chemistry, DSE Liberal Studies, and junior secondary Science. He served as Graduate Master and Senior Graduate Master in secondary schools. He also worked as the Curriculum Development Officer (Science) at the Education Bureau.
