Dr. Essuman-Quainoo’s research focuses on urban ecosystems and the interplay between nature and society. His work has been published in prestigious journals such as Urban Forestry & Urban Greening. He combines empathy and organizational skills to create a supportive learning environment.

He bagged his PhD from The Education University Hong Kong in 2024. He holds a master’s in Ecology and Nature Management from Kazan Federal University (Russian Federation) and a bachelor’s in Environment and Resource Management from the University for Development Studies, Ghana. He worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Applied and Landscape Ecology (Kazan Federal University). He had part-time stints as a junior high school (Russia) and primary school teacher (Russia).

He is the recipient of the Greenbuild 2023 Scholarship (USA Green Building Council), the Young Green Warrior Award (World Green Infrastructure Congress 2023, Berlin, Germany), and the Outstanding Presentation Award (FLASS, EdUHK). 

He is the youngest Board Member of the World Green Infrastructure Network (WGIN). He serves as President of its Emerging Professionals Chapter (CEP), where he passionately advocates for sustainable cities on a global scale.
